Work With Us!

The sport of roller derby would cease to exist without our dedicated officials, non-skating officials, and volunteers. From scorekeeping to penalty tracking to jam reffing, there are a variety of both skating and non-skating positions that are needed to make every game happen. Email us to learn more about how you can volunteer!

How Can I Help?

Volunteering with Steel City Roller Derby can take a lot of forms, from officiating to coaching and beyond. Read more about our different open positions by clicking through the slides below!

Non-Skating Officials (NSOs)

Non-Skating Officials (NSOs) are members of staff who perform essential, off-skates duties. Positions include scorekeeping, jam timing, penalty box management, and more!

No skating skill is required, and the requirements of each position can be learned over time, with practice.
